Resourcing MB churches—their people and their leaders—with research and archival services for the mission of God that we share.
Telling the stories of people on God’s mission promotes ministry effectiveness
Historical and theological analysis informs the present through the past
Records management contributes to a healthy organization
The CMBS team is passionate about documenting the ways God has grown the MB church. From birth to the present, the MB story has followed a renewal path within the larger Mennonite tradition. As such, MB churches self-identify as Holy Spirit-led churches, reaching outward with Jesus’ good news of God’s salvation, deliverance, and healing. At CMBS, we function as part of the church’s research and archiving service, offering interpretive and documentary resourcing to MB churches across Canada.
As it has since 1969, CMBS staff remains focused on assisting MB churches with research, writing, and publishing on topics of historical and theological interest. We do this in addition to archiving and maintaining historical records of MB churches, ministries, schools, and people.
