We seek to 1) share the life and story of the church by nurturing relationships among members and engaging in dialogue and reflection; 2) teach and equip for ministry by reflecting Mennonite Brethren theology, values, and heritage, and by sharing the good news; 3) enable communication by serving conference ministries and informing our members about the church and the world.
Teaching & equipping
The MB Herald began in 1962 as a periodical for English speakers in an effort to keep the younger generation connected to church. Over the decades, our brand has expanded, reaching a diverse demographic while remaining committed to our evangelical Anabaptist theology outlined in the MB Confession of Faith. The MB Herald is now active online and via social media, and also offers a digital edition of the magazine. We are members of the Canadian Church Press, the Evangelical Press Association and Meetinghouse.
The MB Herald, a bimonthly magazine, serves the MB community at large. Each issue tells stories of the people and churches in the Canadian MB family, offers theological insight into current issues, and shares news from MB churches, partners, and organizations nationally and globally. Subscriptions are available in print and electronically for members of MB churches.
